Safway Style Scaffolding Frames Overview

Safway style scaffolding isa type of heavy-duty frame scaffolding, originally designed by the companySafway, that uses high-strength steel frames for durability and stability on construction projects. Its key features include 48-inch lock spacing, a 1-7/16" coupling pin, and pin holes at 45-degree angles to the horizontal member. The design allows for fast assembly and is a popular style, particularly in the southern and southwestern United States.

Key characteristics

Material: Made from high-strength steel tubing with a wall thickness of .095" and an outside diameter of 1.69".

Frame structure: Frames are typically 6'4" tall and are connected with a 1-7/16" coupling pin.

Locking system: Has drop locks to secure the cross braces, which keeps the scaffold stable.

Lock spacing: Frames feature 48" lock spacing for durability and stability.

Pin hole angle: Pin holes are set at a 45-degree angle to the horizontal member.

Our Scaffolds are either Powder Coated or Galvanized to ensure long life. We carry 1.5" 1.625" and 1.690" OD in most of the popular sizes and can normally manufacture or acquire just about any other scaffold and/or related items that you might need to complete your projects. Our Scaffolding will normally ship either the same or next day, allowing you to receive your order quickly, usually within 1-4 days
